MEMORIAL PAVER PROGRAM

Honor a Veteran on the Town Common

The Memorial Paver Program of VFW Post 6714 — the Barcomb-Trowbridge Post — gives families, friends, and fellow veterans a way to place a name where West Springfield gathers to remember. Each engraved paver becomes part of the War Memorial on the Town Common.

Pavers may honor any veteran of any branch and any era, living or deceased.

All pavers ordered by March 1st of each year are installed and dedicated annually on Memorial Day.

 Writing your inscription

• All inscriptions are engraved in CAPITAL LETTERS and centered on the paver by the engraver.

• Each line may have up to 16 characters. Spaces and punctuation count as characters.

• 4x8 pavers hold 3 lines; 8x8 pavers hold 6 lines.

• The Post may adjust an inscription for clarity or fit and will contact you before engraving if a change is needed.

• Once a paver has been engraved, the inscription cannot be changed.

Ideas for what to include:rank and name • branch of service • years served • conflict, unit, or ship • a short message such as IN LOVING MEMORY, WITH GRATITUDE, or NEVER FORGOTTEN.

Tip: Count the characters in each line before you submit. "US ARMY 1968-71" is 15 characters; "IN LOVING MEMORY" is exactly 16.
